We have started a 7 day exercise to remove a paint bi-product from internal ductwork.

The work environment is both ATEX rated explosive atmosphere and IP rated dust contaminate atmosphere. We provide workers who work in zoned areas with the appropriate clothing and equipment that does not create the risk of an electrostatic discharge igniting the explosive atmosphere, eg anti-static PPE.

We carry out the Confined Space Cleaning directly for a Blue Chip Automotive Company, we have been the preferred contractor to carry out confined space cleaning works  for over 7 years!

We carry out a varied range of access services on this site including:

Direct access into over 200 metres of horizontal ducting.
Rope Access into 15 metre silo.
MEWP access to over 50 metres of ducting.

Rope Access Silo Cleaning

Rope Access Silo Cleaning.

We deployed our Rope Access Confined Space Cleaning Team today after receiving a last minute request on Wednesday to carry out an urgent Silo Clean using Rope Access.

The client was due to have a new product delivered today but the residual dust from the existing product would have contaminated the silo.

We used structural steelwork at the base of the silo as our anchor points and passed the ropes up and into the silo..... our technicians proceded to abseil inside the silo using Rope Access  to dust down all surfaces using microfibre mops.

The client was able to proceed with the delivery of the new product much to their delight & our services have been secured by them for all future silo cleans.

Due to the architects abstract design and poor design installation of anchor points..... cleaning the glazing is quite a challenge..... this is why we have been called in!

Rope Access Painting / Re - Coating

We have completed today...... the re-coating of structural steel in the roof space of Millenium Point in Birmingham.

The structural steel was showing signs of corrosion due to water ingress, we informed the client of this during our high level cleaning works a few months ago...... Our brief was to aid climb across the structural steel to carry out the following-

• Manual preparation of steelwork to create a key for the coating system.
• Application of Combi Primer.
• Application of intumescent coating using Brosteel 60. This consisted of applying 2 coats of Brosteel to create a 60 minute fire protection.
• Application of CombiColour Gloss.

We have been delivering specialised Professional Rope Access Re-Coating Applications to Structural Steel, Silo's, Storage Bins and Buildings for over 12 years.

To retrieve our ropes we had to set up a pull through system so not to aid climb back over the newly re-coated steelwork.
